Butt was kicked at the virtual Canadian Screen Awards Awards last night, with Corner Gas Animated winning Best Animated Series, Best Writing (Diana Frances), and Best Performance (Brent Butt)! Congratulations to the whole team, who worked so hard on this season!
We are excited to share that Corner Gas Animated Season 2 has received six Canadian Screen Award nominations! The show has been recognized for Best Animated Program or Series, Best Performance, Animation for both Brent Butt and Eric Peterson, Best Direction, Animation for our directors Stephen Evans and Mateusz Garbulinski for the episode “Bush League”, Best Writing, Animation for our writers Kate Hewlett (“Doctors Without Boarders”) and Diana Frances (“Hedge Your Debts”). Stay tuned during Canadian Screen Week, March 23-29, 2020, to find out if we’ve won!
Our holiday special, The Curse of Clara returns for another holiday season on CBC! You can watch it on Saturday, December 21 at 11:25am in select regions and on Christmas Day across all of Canada at 2:30pm local time. If you are in Windsor, you can also see it at 7:30pm on December 20th and 7pm on December 22nd.
