Corner Gas Animated was honoured to receive two Canadian Screen Award wins for its fourth and final season at last night’s ceremony! We were recognized in both the Best Animated Program or Series category, as well as in the Best Direction, Animation category for Stephen Evans’ work on “Haunt for Dread October”.

Smiley Guy Studios celebrates its 23rd anniversary (!) with a BIG win at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in the Animated Series competition for One Day at a Time‘s “The Politics Episode”. Congratulations to directors M.R. Horhager, Phill Lewis and the entire tireless team at Smiley Guy and Big Jump Entertainment!
A big congratulations to our amazing editing team – Sam Thomson, Joel Gregorio & Thomas Bolger – for winning Best Editing in Animation at last night’s Canadian Cinema Editors Awards for their outstanding work on the black-ish animated episode, “Election Special: Part 2”!

We did it! After a short but incredibly intense journey, the animated black-ish episode that we have been working feverishly on for the past eight weeks airs THIS Sunday night at 10:30pm EDT / 7:30pm PDT after the NBA finals on ABC. It deals with all the important issues and critical choices, be they West Wing… or chicken wing. Big shout out to our partners in this insane undertaking, Big Jump Entertainment, and our fearless director, Mathias Horhager!
